My name is Joshua Ray, I am from Alabama. I began photographing nature and landscapes with just a smartphone, which I still use, in my spare time while traveling throughout the southeast and enjoyed it so much that I bought a professional camera so that I could take my love of photographing landscapes to the next level.  While I do not consider myself I professional photographer, I have found that by taking plenty of pictures from various perspectives you will eventually get some really great shots and you begin to learn by trail and error certain principles that make great photos. Certainly this method does not take the place of a good photography course but this is simply a way of sharing my love of nature and the outdoors with others.

I enjoy traveling and have made a couple of trips to Europe visiting Germany, France, Austria, Slovenia, Croatia, Greece, Czech Republic and Turkey and hope to make more trips in the future which I will  share with you.
